Last weekend we wandered over to a local farmer’s market and came home with some super-fresh organic veggies & fruit, goat cheese (neither of us has ever had goat cheese and it’s quite good) and eggs (from free-range chickens). All the vendors are from farms or ranches within about a 35-mile radius. I never knew we had so much good food grown so close to home.

Our bounty included corn, peaches, goat cheese, nectarines and super fresh eggs from a farm right around the corner from the farmer’s market. Oh yeah, and there was a very tasty homemade tamale that was eaten before I took the photo. 🙂
